We were so excited to FINALLY team up with Alison Broverman and Justin Go aka: “Team Goverman”, co-owners of Dutch/Indonesian local favourite BORREL for our HALLOWEEN SPOOK-TACULAR!.
Their bitterballen, boerenkool, and snert were the perfect accompaniments for our “spooky” show. We even played a Dutch food game (aptly called “Snert’s Up!”) to add to the fun. These married restauranteurs are true professionals and we were thrilled to add them to our wonderful list of local restaurant partners.

On August 19th, The New Local looked to the online community and found a restaurant recommended by one of their local Facebook groups. We were thrilled to support them as they had just opened up and were already getting rave reviews (for both their food and wonderful staff!). This new classic on Danforth provided patrons a delicious variety of Middle Eastern cuisine that paired perfectly with the shows theme: Sounds of Summer.

Following on the success of their first show, The New Local next partnered with Relish Bar and Grill on Danforth Ave. They were a natural partner as Relish features live music in their restaurant and was formerly located around the corner from where Gabi and Jeremy live!

The New Local had their debut live broadcast on Sunday June 7th with the beloved Oak Park Deli. The theme of the concert was Family Night and the show featured Gabi and Jeremy singing their legendary “Disney Plus Medley”. A favourite in this community, they were the perfect establishment to partner with for the inaugural show!
