GABI EPSTEIN

Born and raised in Toronto, Gabi is one of Canada’s leading stage and cabaret performers best known for playing Audrey in the 2019 Stratford Festival production of Little Shop of Horrors. Other favourite theatrical productions include: Fanny Brice in Funny Girl (Segal Centre/Harold Green JT), the standby for Girl in Once (Mirvish - DORA AWARD Ensemble/Production), Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Candide (TIFT), Killer Queen in We Will Rock You (Magnus Theatre), To Life (HGJT - DORA nomination, Outstanding Performance), Blood Brothers, The Sound of Music, Perfect Wedding (Drayton Ent.) as well as various Disney princesses aboard Disney Cruise Lines in the original company of Toy Story the musical. Gabi’s CD “Show Off” is available on Spotify and iTunes and her ‘Gabarets’ have been performed all over North America garnering her praise such as “Best Cabaret of the Year” by the Times Square Chronicles in NYC.

JEREMY LAPALME

Over the past 12 years, Jeremy has made a reputation for himself as one of the countries top comedic performers, appearing in plays and musicals across Canada. Some theatre credits include: Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, You’re a good man Charlie Brown (Rose Theatre); 80s Solid Gold, Spamalot, Young Frankenstein, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, and the hit farce Drinking Habits (Stage West Calgary); We Will Rock You (Magnus Theatre); A Christmas Story (Theatre Orangeville); The Little Mermaid, Fiddler on the Roof (Capitol Theatre) and many others. Jeremy is also one of the performing creators at Bain and Bernard Comedy appearing in Sherlock Holmes and the Case of Hamlet; The You’ve Never Seen Anything Like It Show!!; Romeo and Juliet: Chainsaw Massacre (Best of Fringe TO). Jeremy is a proud graduate of both the performing arts program at Wexford School of the Arts and the prestigious musical theatre performance program at Sheridan College.

Over the past 7 years Gabi and Jeremy have appeared in numerous theatrical productions together including:

Fiddler on the Roof (where they met, he a Rabbi’s son and she the eldest daughter of a dairyman), The Little Mermaid, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, We Will Rock You, and Funny Girl: In Concert. They also produce their own live variety specials, including their annual “Lapepstein Chrismukkah Variety Show!”

In addition to their wonderful working relationship, Gabi and Jeremy tied the knot and were married on September 2nd, 2019 at the iconic Palais Royale in Toronto, ON.

The melodious Scott Christian

Scott Christian is Toronto east-ender, and an award-winning Musical Director, Composer and Pianist. His musical A Misfortune premiered at the 2017 Charlottetown Festival. Scott’s first two original musicals were part of the Toronto Summerworks Festival - Hero & Leander (2011) and Through the Gates (2012). Dead Reckoning is one of three musicals he has co-written with Lezlie Wade - most recently a new adaptation of Hansel & Gretel (Yellow Door Theatre).  He co-composed the score for burden of proof, which is part of the 2020 Sheridan College CMTP festival. Selected Musical Director credits include Carmen (Loose Tea Music Theatre), Ring Of Fire (Thousand Islands Playhouse), A Misfortune, Glenda’s Kitchen, The Dream Catchers, and The Voices of Canada (Charlottetown Festival), Once, Shrek and The Addams Family (Neptune Theatre), Company (Theatre 20), and Second City Toronto. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music for piano and composition and is currently completing his master’s degree in composition at York University.
