Socially Distanced “Hello everyone”! Wishing you health and hopefully some joy during this trying time. And thank you for everyone who came out to see me at the Stratford Festival last year. I am truly grateful for your continued support.
With the state of our beloved industry in jeopardy, and with local establishments needing support I thought why not combine the 2 into one fabulous and safe evening.
Very excited about a new venture that my husband Jeremy and I have created. Performing and food are our two greatest loves so we are thrilled to share this with all of you. Please read the info below and I hope to see you at “The New Local”!
Team Lapepstein Presents:
THE NEW LOCAL: Dine In, Sing Out!
Do you miss live entertainment? Do you miss eating out at local restaurants and enjoying delicious food with friends and family? Look no further. “The New Local” in Toronto is the East End’s newest most exciting way to bring local entertainment and food straight to your home. In these unprecedented times some of the best local establishments are closed for dine-in experiences. Newlyweds and two of Toronto’s most sought after musical theatre performers Gabi Epstein (Stratford Festival/Mirvish/DORA Award) and Jeremy Lapalme (Stage West/Bain and Bernard Comedy/Rose Theatre) are teaming up with their favourite neighbourhood restaurants to bring you a series of live intimate virtual musical concerts that both entertain and celebrate local establishments.
Each monthly show will showcase a different local restaurant and feature a special menu designed for the show. One admission price gets you a dinner for either 2, 4, or 6 people delivered straight to your door and a private link to the one hour show. All you have to do is unpack your dinner, sit back, relax, and enjoy. And because this intimate event has limited admission you can share your experience with an invested active audience. You can even request songs in advance! After the show, let the “afterparty” begin! Gabi and Jeremy will join you for a virtual post-show “cheers” and answer any questions you may have.
Our first performance (Sunday, June 7th) will be a 6pm family show with a special menu from neighbourhood favourite the OAK PARK DELI! Toula and her team are very excited to be the first restaurant featured at The New Local.
