I can’t believe I am actually writing these words, but the time has finally come to officially announce that… I will be playing my dream role of Fanny Brice for ONE NIGHT ONLY in the Harold Green Jewish Theatre’s fundraising production of FUNNY GIRL in Concert on September 30th!!!!!!!!!!

Listen up– happening in the George Weston Recital Hall at the Toronto Centre for the Arts, there will be a 25 (!!) piece orchestra lead by Mark Camilleri, and a STACKED cast of some of Canada’s premiere talent.  Directed by Avery Saltzman, this cast includes: Shawn Wright (Nicky Arnstein), Theresa Tova (Mrs. Brice), Eddie Glen (Eddie Ryan), Paula Wolfson (Mrs. Strakosh), Victor Young (Ziegfeld), Jayne Lewis, Denise Oucharak, Darrin Baker, Jonathan Ellul, Michael Torontow, Jeremy Lapalme, Eric Morin, Dale Miller, Jenni Burke, Dana Jean Phoenix, Louise Camilleri, Cleopatra Williams, Stephanie Roth, David Eisner, Sarite Harris, and Eden Richmond… RIGHT??????

Breathe for me everyone.  This is going to be epic.  Visit www.hgjewishtheatre.com for all info and ticketmaster.ca for tickets.

  1. Bernie Ardia says:

Hello, My name is Bernie Ardia, author of Barbra Streisand in New York City, and also a theatrical wig designer which is why I am now in Toronto for Les Miserables opening in Sept. Last night, on the plane in from California, I was given a newspaper in which I saw the ad for your upcoming Funny Girl concert. It happens to land on our 3rd night of previews so I am certain I will be unable to attend ( I would kill to hear this concert! I will try everything I can to be there!) I forwarded the information as well as your ‘Greatest Star’ youtube clip to the best Streisand website for them to inform Funny Girl fans in the Toronto area of this event. All the best, I am certain it will be a hit and I hope it has a future, I know that this would do well in many venues, Bernie
